Abstract:P (MMA/t-BA/DAC) polymer microspheres with different particle sizes were synthesized by soap free? polymerization using methyl methacrylate (MMA), tert butyl acrylate (t-BA) and acryloxyethyl trimethylammonium chloride (DAC). Structural color was constructed on black polyester fabric by atomization deposition method, and the structural color fabric was treated with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). P (MMA/t-BA/DAC) polymer microspheres and structural colored fabrics were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, particle size, reflectance spectroscopy, static water contact angle, and antibacterial properties test. The experimental results showed that P (MMA/t-BA/DAC) polymer microspheres with different particle sizes could be obtained by changing the monomer ratio during the synthesis process. And five different structural colors of blue, purple, blue purple, green, and red could be obtained on polyester fabrics. The antibacterial rates of structural colored fabrics against E.coli and S.aureus reached over 99%, demonstrating the excellent antibacterial properties. The structural colored fabric treated by PDMS had a water contact angle over 150° showing superhydrophobic properties, which could endow the structural colored fabric with anti contamination and self-cleaning function.
