Abstract:Taking helichrysum essential oil, Copaifera officinalis oil and Cananga odorata essential oil as the research objects, the chemical constituents of the three essential oils were detected by GC-MS. The safe mass concentration of essential oil on cells was determined by CCK8 method. Based on UVA-induced HSF damage model, the effects of essential oils on UVA-induced cell damage were evaluated from the aspects of cellular oxidative stress response, protein damage and inflammatory response. The results showed that 54, 32 and 46 chemical components were detected in helichrysum essential oil, Copaifera officinalis oil and Cananga odorata essential oil respectively, mainly olefin compounds; the maximum safe mass concentrations were 175 μg/mL, 400 μg/mL and 300 μg/mL, respectively. All the three essential oils reduced the content of MDA in cells, and adding low concentration (1 μg/mL) Cananga odorata essential oil before irradiation had the best effect, with an inhibitory rate of 20.15% for MDA. All the three essential oils increased the SOD content in the cells, and adding low concentration essential oils after irradiation had the best effect, in which the promotion rate of Copaifera officinalis oil with 0.1 μg/mL mass concentration on SOD was as high as 118.09%. All the three essential oils increased the content of COL-I in cells, and adding low concentration essential oils before irradiation had the best effect, in which the promotion rate of helichrysum essential oil with a mass concentration of 1 μg/mL was as high as 137.10%. The three essential oils all reduced the contents of MMP-1, PGE2 and IL-1 in the cells, and the addition of low concentration essential oils after irradiation had the best effect. The performance of the three essential oils was also inconsistent. Among them, the inhibitory rate of Cananga odorata essential oil with 0.1 μg/mL mass concentration on MMP-1 was as high as 50.67%, and the inhibitory rate of Copaifera officinalis oil with 0.1 μg/mL mass concentration on PGE2 was as high as 57.60%. The inhibition rate of helichrysum essential oil with 0.1 μg/mL mass concentration on IL-1 was 39.97%.
